Goli & Ashburner: For The Win Records

Oliver Gibbons & Michael Ashburner, together known as Goli & Ashburner, have been smashing apart just about everywhere in the East Midlands and beyond recently with their seriously deep take on dubstep. Running their own label 'For The Win', putting on big label events with big guests, and still finding time to DJ and produce, the future looks orange for these boys.

It is our pleasure then, that we introduce them to you as guests of our next party in June, supporting Joker, Plastician & Jakwob in Room 2. To give you a taste of the kind of things these boys get upto, we have provided on a plate the 4th installment of the For The Win mixtapes, featuring some of their own work alongside tracks from some of the hottest producers right now. Its got a great beginning, a great middle, and a great end. In other words its just fucking great. But don't take our word for it...

Gonna be a mad ting. Skream - Outside The Box

Iv'e been hesitating for a while about doing a blog about Skream's upcoming album 'Outside The Box', due to the understandable lack of a release date and very limited information on tracklistings etc. That said, fuck it. I'm gonna do it anyway. This album is probably one of the most anticipated albums of the year, and from the previews of tracks played on his stella sessions shows on Rinse FM i'm wetting myself with anticipation. Skream announced that the album should be released May/June time, just in time to be the soundtrack to everyones summer.

The album taking shape shows just why Skream is still one of the best in the business, and has the power and ability to single-handedly drag music into a new direction. Collaborations on the album include Autonomic boys dBridge & Instra:Mental, Newham Generals and rumoured La Roux.

Dub-boro FM: Coming in your ears

Dub-boro are back on the radio next week with the 'people's champion' Jamie Hughes hosting the partay in the studio. We havn't been on for a bout 3 months, so might be a bit rusty, but we have got bare new tunes to share with you and there are rumours that if we eat our greens they might let us play for 2 hours. BIG. Expect nonsense chat, good music, world exclusives and maybe even a giveaway.

As if you haven't heard yet, Brum boys Bigger Than Barry have invited the Dub-boro crew to join them for a week of sun, sand and big sound on the White Isle. We'll all be travelling over on our family holiday on the week of Sunday 20th - 26th June to take over the world famous Ibiza Rocks hotel.
