Promises were made and after a few hiccups we can now FINALLY release the dbe line up for October 11th. He will be covering all bases with a 3 hour set, whilst the hottest property on the underground music scene right now DISCLOSURE will also be popping in to show off their skills on the 1's & 2's.

You like, we release...

Just in case you thought you were going to take some TIME OFF this summer, you were wrong... lucky for you we have spent all our holiday money in Hideout & Sonar so we have a bit of free time to sort things out for a next bash on October 11th...

To give you something to look forward to when you get back, we are just about ready to release our line up for the October event, however, we want to ask a little favour first...

We are only going to release the line up when our Facebook fanpage has 1000 likes, so if you haven't become a fan yet or know a few mates that would be into what we are doing, get liking and watch this space...

dbe New Release Roundup : Early July

dbe has picked five fresh releases for you to check out this month in time for the Summer heat! On hand are picks ranging from House to Techno to Garage and plenty of variety to keep everyone happy!

1. Julio Bashmore - Au Seve (Broadwalk Records)

By now people should come to recognize what they're gonna get from a Bashmore release and this is no different. Skippy hi hats pepper the drum arrangements leading to automatic body movements and a yearning vocal tugs on the heartstrings in trademark style. The breakdown is less affecting than 'Battle For Middle You' but it burns for longer and just as viable in any set.

2. Dusky - Henry 85 EP (Simple)

Dusky house on up for Simple after their immediate and suprising garage switch up 'Flo Jam'. Skippy drum patterns are still prevalant but breezy synth swells files these firmly in the deeper spectrum. Highlights 'Henry 85' and 'No More' both tug at the heartstrings with filtered chords and soulful vocals before
sub-bass and heavy drum work take over.

3. Mak & Pasteman - What Love Is (Car Crash Set)

Former dbe Garden Party wrecker Pasteman has teamed up with longtime collaborator Mak on two new spicy UK rhythms. 'What Love Is' contains the kind of insistent tribal drumwork and echoed vocal ambience that made our crowd go wild last time around. But our pick of the bunch has to be the flip, where the energy is ramped up ever so slightly to send people delerious over such subtlely affecting bass music. Tip!

4. Panorama Bar 04 (Ostgut Ton)

Ahead of Panorama Bar resident Nick Höppner's upcoming mix CD, Panorama treats us to four unmixed specials from The Mole, Dexter, Matthew Styles and Jon McMillion. All cuts are swirling and sensual but it's Dexter's special 'X7D' that gets the nod from us here. He's always been a special producer but everything clicks here as sounds we've never heard before go hand in hand with an all-encompassing rhythm bound to make you move.

5. Various Artists - Electronic Explorations Compilation (EE)

Absolutley ridiculous offering from longtime radio show Elecronic Explorations. They've managed to wrangle 61 previous guests to supply all exclusive tracks for their latest compilation. There is so much to go through here that it would be crazy to pick highlights but choice cuts from Machinedrum, Kahn, Wisp, Trevino, Djrum and Swarms are all floating our boat. You would be mad to miss out!
