As we are about to embark on a Parklife sized break this weekend, we want to know where you the people are going this summer, what tracks are going to be rinsed at festivals around the world and which acts you are most looking forward to seeing in a rainy field. Let us know by dropping us a comment in the box below, or take part in our new poll to the left of the page! Whatever you have planned for the weekend, be good!
Us?! Well we are all about Chic today, and if you have ever had the pleasure of seeing them live then you will know why...
Last week it was all about Krystal Klear in the rain at Bristol's Love Saves The Day for me. Opening for Greg Wilson the master himself, he split the difference between 80s grooves and New Jack beats stupendously and even played Mariah Carey. The DJs willing to take risks are often the most rewarding. Im looking foward to Sonar Festival where i'll finally get to see Todd Terje play in the Barcelona sun next week and also Hessle Audio boy Elgato who has been mysteriously hypnotising me with his sustained atmospheric productions for a while now. In terms of big tunes for the summer i think maybe we'll hear alot from the new Justin Martin album which is cracking or possibly George Fitzgerald's new 4/4 stomper 'Child' which has summer written all over it!
