Sleazy Wonder supplying smooth summer grooves.

Our man on the seas, Sleazy Wonder, has been sunning himself on an early holiday to Barcelona. According to the shipping reports he'd been spinning records on a temporary stall on Las Ramblas when a seagull stole his record bag. Determined to come back with a mix influenced by his trip he sought out the locals and became influenced by the relaxed vibe of the city itself. Henceforth he's sent us over this mix prime for the Summertime. Full of hip-hop, grooves and of course his beloved disco tunes this surely will be the soundtrack to sunny days ahead, and whether your going to festivals or simply relaxing in the garden, this one's bound to get you in the mood. So sit back, relax and keep it sleazy.

Samiad say "Nice One Brav!" ahead of the EOTP!

Non-stop party rocking duo and long-time dbe residents Samiad have just sent us over this storming mix ahead of the final installment of this term's dbe party! The mix is chock full of twisted drum and bass with an emphasis on dark atmospheric pressure and metallic cavernous beats. This is definatley inspired by some of their late night full throttle apperances at some of our last events and for fans of the duo aswell as dbe peeps new to them, you'll be sure to be itching to get yourselves to the front row for the next dbe whilst you get an earful of this :

Nice One Brav. dbE end of term party mix by SAMIAD

Remember tickets are still available at a lovely £8.50 for this one. Check out our facebook event for more info on how to get yours : dbe END OF TERM PARTY

Ladies & Gentlemen... HIGH CONTRAST

Well it would make sense to start the artist previews from the top of the bill, and arguably we have pencilled this preview in for the last 3 years. Never before have we worked so tirelessly to bring an artist to Loughborough, and after years of trying finally the planets aligned and we can now present to you for the first time at dbe... HIGH CONTRAST.

I could bore you with an introduction on the man but I won't insult your intelligence. He has been incredibly prolific in his production and sets for so long now that if you have taken any kind of interest in d'n'b over the past 10 years, you will have doubtless heard his name countless times and on countless projects. If it's a bio you're after, check out his Hospital Records mini-site, but to be honest that kind of thing has been done before and better than we ever could. Instead, a run-down of our top 5 interesting facts(?) about the man himself... let's go:

1) High Contrast won BBC Radio 1's prestigious Essential Mix of the year award for this effort:

High Contrast Essential Mix (October 2007)

2) His poppa Paul was Shakin' Stevens manager.

3) High Contrast's won best hair award at the Drum And Bass Awards 3 years in a row between 2005 & 2008.

4) He has a passion for film & photography, even leading to him directing his own videos such as this one for 'The Agony & The Ecstacy'

5) He will smash Echos so hard on the 21st June that anyone in the crowd will instantly be guaranteed the best summer of their life so far, as it will not be possible to come down off the euphoria he will create with his set.

And to be there and experience this phenomena, your first step is to grab a ticket. They are flying out at the moment and won't be around for long, so if you haven't got yours yet do not hang around. They are available here and now from the following link: TICKET LINK!!!
